Wheeling Central Planning Reunion For Historic ÀÏ˾»úÖ±²¥˜04-ÀÏ˾»úÖ±²¥™05 Class
The 2004-05 school year was one for the ages at Wheeling Central Catholic High School. Seven sports won the WVSSAC State Championship that school year. Plans are currently in the works to bring back members and coaches of those teams for recognition and a reception on Saturday, Jan. 11 when the Knights boys and girls basketball teams are in action against Chapmanville and Charleston Catholic, respectively. The day will begin with the girls’ varsity game at 1 p.m. and the reception, which will be held in the plaque room of the CCHS gymnasium, beginning at 2:30. At halftime of the boys’ game, which begins at 4 p.m., the returning players and coaches will be recognized. Pictured are coaches of those teams. From left are Wayne Rutter (boys track), Mike Young (football), Jimbo Wodusky (baseball), Arica Holt (cheering), Peggy Dailer (girls tennis), Mel Stephens (basketball) and Paul Kurtz (golf).
