RONALD J. HERISKO
July 22, 1938 – November 27, 2024
Ronald J. Herisko, Esq., age 86, (RJ), of Wheeling WV, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at WVU Wheeling Hospital surrounded by his closest loved ones. R.J. was born on July 22, 1938, in Dormont, a borough south of Pittsburgh, PA. He was the son of the late Wilhelm Herisko, and Marie Koenig Herisko and brother of the late Caroline Herisko Dumm. He is survived by his 92-year-old brother, William Herisko who resides in Southern California, and by five nieces and nephews.
R.J. proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from September 1956 through September 1958. He was a Business Administration graduate of Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA, Class of 1962. After graduating from Case Western Reserve University Law School in Cleveland, OH in 1967, he embarked upon a rewarding career in law spanning over five decades. As a tax accountant, he also found fulfillment in preparing ÀÏ˾»úÖ±²¥ income tax returns and continued providing his tax services for a select group of clients and friends until shortly before his death.
In 1982, R.J. relocated from the East to the West Coast, settling in Palm Springs, CA. During his time in California, he worked as an attorney in the entertainment industry. A fitness buff, he enjoyed tennis, golf, hiking, and frequent visits to the gym well into his advanced age.
R.J. was an advisor and friend to well-known and loved National recording artist, the late B.E. Taylor. R.J. moved to Wheeling, WV in 2018 to be closer to his dearest friend, Veronica Taylor, and her family, Tahnee Taylor, Gina DeBlasis, and Michael and Mary Ann DeBlasis, who were like family to him. While living in Wheeling, he rekindled old friendships developed during his youth in Pittsburgh and made wonderful new friendships that greatly enriched his final years.
R.J. was a multi-faceted individual with many diverse interests. He had an engaging personality and was always eager to connect with friends. R.J.’s passing has left a great void in the hearts of his family and many friends who will miss him greatly.
At his request, there will be no services or visitation. He was laid to rest at St. Joseph’s Cemetery 920 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15210, alongside his beloved parents in a private burial on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
